Strike Bowling- the ultimate entertainment experience that goes beyond your average ten-pin bowling alley. With 8 themed bowling lanes, an exclusive bowling shoe shop, a fully-equipped cocktail bar, and a gourmet kitchen serving tasty snacks all day, creating a unique and lively space that seamlessly combines bowling and a vibrant bar atmosphere.
Inspired by the vintage charm of an old New York train station, Strike exudes a playful ambience. One standout design feature is the shoeshine bench seating, reminiscent of a bygone era when professionals would polish their shoes before heading to Manhattan for work. This adds a fun and nostalgic element to the venue, enhancing the overall experience as guests put on their bowling shoes.
The feature ceiling, created using stained veneer boxes and powder-coated metal disks with round cutouts, adds visual interest and complements the theme, elevating the atmospheric ambience of the space. Functional considerations were also addressed, with intelligently designed shoe shelves that allocate each vertical space to a specific shoe size, ensuring a convenient experience.
Meticulously constructed ball racks made from Tasmanian oak solid timber and veneer provide secure and convenient storage. The shelves are designed with two horizontal timber pieces, allowing the balls to roll smoothly from left to right. Powder-coated trims eliminate the need for on-site trimming of vintage tiles, ensuring a high-quality finish. The integration of ball racks into the overall design facilitates an organised and efficient bowling experience.
As you enter the venue, a 7-meter-long bar finished with coloured reeded glass immediately catches your eye. Multiple arches incorporated into the back bench elevate the aesthetic appeal, drawing attention to our impressive drink offerings. The tiered shelving with integrated light boxes not only enhances functionality by providing easy access to drinks but also adds an inviting glow to the bar area. Innovation shines through in the pre-built curved archways made of MDF, transported to the site in large-format pieces, and the on-site plastering and rendering techniques that transform them into authentic-looking columns and arches. Vintage tiles adorn the bottom half, enhancing the realistic appearance.
The ball racks feature solid timber arched moulding at the top, meticulously crafted from multiple pieces of Tasmanian oak. These intricate grooves add a touch of sophistication to the racks, showcasing our attention to detail.
To achieve the desired reflective golden reeded glass, we employed a polished gold laminate applied to the back of the glass, demonstrating our adaptability and resourcefulness without the need for specialised imported glass.
