When you offer world-class luxurious services, you need to also offer an exceptional touch of luxury. For the fit out for Saltair Day Spa, it was imperative the clients be immediately immersed in lavish surroundings from the moment they walk through the front door.

This design project had to carefully consider lighting, fixtures, and finishes. Combining plenty of glass alongside interesting focal points of metal cladding and high-end solid brass has provided a magnificent spa environment. Joinery in brass adds to the contrast against the Duchess Satin paint finish, while sprayed aqua gold on the walls breaks up the deep hues of the room and enhances the brass accents beautifully.

The big wave metal panel, in polished mirror finish, offers a gorgeous focal point in this project. Dark, bold and beautiful, this space presents modern charm and flair without compromising the functionality that is vital for such a well-known and opulent spa.

A glass benchtop was utilised for the reception area. This was an important design component to allow the viewing window to remain clear and provide an element of openness in the space.

Lighting needed to be functional but also visually appealing. Recessed task lighting, alongside concealed LED light strips on retail shelves, provides a practical finish. Custom suspended pendant lights in the reception, waiting rooms, and treatment rooms give an element of warmth while underscoring the entire project's magnificent design and feel. In addition, the wall light sculpture, which is also dimmable, can be easily adjusted to suit the day's needs regardless of the available natural light outside.

Fixtures offset the deep textured feel of the space, with high-end brass providing a beautiful contrast. The brushed brass was chosen for soap holders, wall hooks, and a striking brushed brass basin, as well as all showers and tapware.

Particular attention was paid to the sitting area to ensure it was inviting and relaxing as this is the place where clients unwind post-treatment or wait in anticipation for their spa experience to begin. The luxe vinyl in Dover provides a lovely neutral warmth while lifting the space with a touch of a lighter colour palette.

Black awnings and a white exterior make this spa a visual standout from the moment it is seen. Saltair Day Spa is a custom-tailored project with stunning focal points, functionality, and style which met the client's brief perfectly.
