Kicks Sports Bar ticks all the boxes and is by far the cleverly contrasting king of bars in Melbourne. With each space celebrating different sporting themes, there’s a spot to suit everyone’s taste, while possessing that all-important wow factor from the second you walk through the door.

Filled with contrasting textures, colours, and materials, it combines modern flare, with eye-catching details that pay homage to its sporting themes. As punters enter the space the ambience and mood change through the use of lighting and materials to reflect the intended purpose of each space.  

It's all about sports! The incorporation of materials and features that reflect the sporty appeal was imperative in the overall vibrant design concept. From sporting equipment and athletic arenas to grid mesh screens, steel piping, and elements commonly found in the super stadiums around the globe. Mimicking features of goals, nets, and stands, clever joinery, and accents have this sports bar screaming “GOAL”. 

Perforated metal alongside hard-wearing vinyl flooring complements the overall design, as too, neon lighting and bold dramatic colours for the custom seating arrangements. The OSB wall panels create a warm contrast against the bold black panels and vibrant red leather seating. While rejuvenated exposed pipework brings an edgy appeal to the space and balances well with the white curved tilework at the bar.  

The light posts are also a wonderful talking point. 100x100mm custom posts were crafted pressing 4 sheets of custom cut plywood to create the desired size and textural appeal. Alongside carefully created rebate to run wiring making these lights stand out in the crowd as a textural superstar.  

Customised seating was important, as the space transforms from a place to watch sports, play pool or have a go at some table soccer. Having ample different seating options gives the space plenty of room to entertain, whether it be for a quick drink while watching the game, or a mouth-watering meal with the family.
