With a brand that is the gold standard of Belgium chocolates since 1926 showcasing the delectable treats on offer alongside a hot chocolate, in unmistakable style was paramount. With a history soaked in opulence, ensuring the new Godiva store at Chadstone stood out within this stylish shopping precinct was a fundamental aspect. Indulgent joinery and chocolates to match. 

Being visually appealing was an important design component that allows for ample foot traffic to sample and purchase an array of products. Being centre stage and having that all-important eye appeal is essential for business. Prestige Gold Stain Rimex adorning the entry point sets the perfect scene for a royal feast for the senses – synonymous with the Godiva brand.  

Custom joinery was dominant in this design process. It was important to utilise every aspect of the allocated retail space. Customising the specs brings the entire space to life while adding the important branding component. 

 The curvature of the project allows the design to sit perfectly in its needed space while offering the illusion of room and containment in an open environment.  

The brass is seamlessly crafted against the Ebon Veneer cabinetry and stone. This provides a wonderful and important element of contrast and a beautiful focal point. Surrounding display cabinets that border the space create an eye-catching appeal for those walking through the busy mall, allowing the delicious barrister scents to beckon customers towards the store.   

 The entry point was a challenging component of the tight deadlines and strict technical aspects. Alongside health and safety and food safety requirements that are a staple when working in a busy shopping mall. The entry also cleverly conceals the trellis door of the shop. Beautifully crafted bespoke and eye-catching joinery that innovatively cut through obstacles and provided an opulent and luxurious design.
