Minimalist, eye-catching, functional and truly stunning craftsmanship. It’s no surprise that this bespoke retail fit-out at Act Of Wine was the winner of the Interior Fit Out Associations (IFA) Interior Fitout Awards of 2018-2019. 

Restrained and simple design concepts ensures the product is on full display and retains its focal point in its retail fitting. Act Of Wine needed to showcase the product as its focus, within a carefully curated selection of natural materials. 

With impressive floor-to-ceiling windows, to showcase the store, it was vital that every component was a visual masterpiece from not only within the space but the street as well . A curated selection of natural materials provides and elegant and earthy feel to the space, while staging the finely crafted details throughout.  

This customised approach to the finer details allows the philosophy of the store to shine through and offer visitors a wonderful luxurious experience. The impressively large 4.5 metre shopfront bench in Australian Messmate, with a sandblasted live edge provides a wonderful focal point and a powerful ‘wow’ factor to the retail zone. Bold and breathtakingly beautiful, the shopfront bench is also incredibly functional. Not only does it act as an impressive display shelf during store hours but it also acts as a standing bar for events. 

Each wine slot is individually routed and hand sanded for that truly customised touch that allows feature bottles to be displayed from atop, while the storage of the same range in the metal racks below. These are carefully crafted to resemble layers of the natural earth - a vital ingredient in the growth of great wine. The craftsmanship and attention to meticulous details allows the space to stay true to the natural tones that inspire the growing of wine.  

Craftmanship and bespoke joinery complement the product on display while also being highly functional. Working in true harmony to add beauty, and enhancement through fabrication while the design incorporates the importance of multifunctional aspects to allow the space to transform easily. Act Of Wine is a wonder for the eyes and the pallet to the wine lovers of Victoria and beyond.
